JP Events & Consulting

Event Manager, Strategic Business Consultant – 2012 to 2015:
Business Development lead to grow client base.  Conducted research and identified new opportunities to offer innovative events to clients. Strategized and executed specific requirements and expectations for client events. Developed and managed strategic plans of action to determine the target audience, promote the event accordingly, and do so within the established budget. Researched and negotiated venues per the client’s needs and budget. Designed and created theme-based events to meet the client’s vision.

Facilitated communications with industry professionals, including venue management, caterers, contractors, equipment rentals and municipal officials to ensure efficient and proper execution of events.

Trained new and existing staff prior to the event so that all operations of the event were executed smoothly. Developed a personal database of qualified volunteers, both at the youth and adult level, to create alignment in the community and staff events within budget.

Rappaport/Village at Leesburg

Event Manager, Business Liaison - 2013 (Annual Contract):
Developed and launched numerous community events to build awareness and create revenue generating traffic to the retail center. Coordinated efforts with merchants by launching monthly merchant meetings to better coordinate and communicate outreach efforts and strategic partnerships with the Town of Leesburg and the Small Business Development Center.

Managed many aspects of onsite event planning including pre and post event needs such as permits, vendor negotiations and merchant campaigns. Community outreach in both B2C and B2B sectors to create visibility for both the retail center to the consumer and leasing opportunities to the business community.

eTitle Agency

Marketing Manager, Relationship Manager - 2010 to 2012:
Relationship Manager for eTitle Agency, one of the largest Real Estate Settlement Agencies in Northern Virginia. Directives include exploring and building business partnerships and relationships throughout the DC Metro/NoVa region. Working closely with several local REALTOR Boards including NVAR and DAAR, Chambers of Commerce and Trade Organizations including serving on several of their volunteer committees.

The Herald Mail Online

The Herald Mail Online- 2000 to 2001:
Developed and launched a web-based advertising product within the online content provider of the Herald-Mail. Created and sold packaged promos for print/web bundles. Analyzed market statistics to further develop the product to meet the needs of the advertisers.

Verizon

Verizon- 1997 to 1999:
Customer Support for the developing internet community hosted by BAIS. Supporting new products such as 56k dial-up and V.90 technology that was being unveiled at the time. Promoted to Big Yellow while employed with BAIS, which was an online yellow page service experimenting with one page business websites offering template designs for entry level web access for small businesses.
